Wyoming Picks Chainlink to Secure First State-Issued US Stablecoin

Chainlink announced on Tuesday via X that the Wyoming Stable Token Commission deprecates its legacy bridge & migrates the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) to Chainlink CCIP.

As a leader in digital asset policy, Wyoming is doubling down on security by selecting Chainlink as its exclusive cross-chain infra.

$FRNT is the first fiat-backed, fully reserved stable token issued by a public entity in the United States. As a regulated, government-issued digital asset, FRNT is subject to the highest standards of transparency, operational resilience, and public accountability.

Following a comprehensive security review, the Commission upgraded its cross-chain infra to Chainlink CCIP in a move to scale asset distribution.

The Commission found that CCIP was the only solution uniquely capable of meeting its rigorous operational security and risk disclosure policies.

Wyoming chose Chainlink CCIP because it offers enterprise-grade infrastructure with strict security & risk management requirements, including:

• SOC 2 Type 2 certification

• Secure by default architecture

• 16 independent nodes

• Built-in risk controls

Chainlink is powered by the LINK token, which is used to pay for platform services and secure the network’s proper functioning. Chainlink leverages a novel fee model where offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise adoption is converted to LINK tokens and stored in a strategic Chainlink Reserve.

Chainlink is at the forefront of financial innovation and the global tokenization trend. Traditional financial institutions and infrastructure, such as SWIFT, DTCC, Euroclear, J.P. Morgan, Mastercard, the Central Bank of Brazil, UBS, SBI, Fidelity International, ANZ, and many others, are adopting Chainlink as a fundamental infrastructure as they move toward tokenizing trillions onchain. Demand for Chainlink has already generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue across a variety of traditional and decentralized use cases.

Chainlink Network (LINK) aims to provide tamper-proof inputs and outputs of data for smart contracts on any blockchain. LINK is up 1.77% over the past 24 hours, trading at $9.62.
