Strive Adds 3,311 BTC, Climbs to Fifth-Largest Public Holder

TL;DR

  • Strive increased its Bitcoin holdings by 3,311 BTC, bringing its treasury to 32,773 BTC as of October 9.

  • The increase is its largest since acquiring approximately 5,048 BTC through the Semler Scientific merger in January.

  • Strive ranks fifth among public Bitcoin holders, behind Strategy, Metaplanet, Twenty One and MARA.

  • The company remains 11,227 BTC behind Metaplanet as it pursues a year-end goal of becoming the second-largest public holder.

Strive, the company founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, added 3,311 bitcoin over the past week, expanding its treasury to 32,773 BTC as of October 9.

The company disclosed the increase in a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

It marks Strive’s largest addition since January, when its all-stock merger with Semler Scientific brought approximately 5,048 BTC onto its balance sheet.

Strive Secures Place Among Top Five Public Holders

Strive’s latest accumulation places it fifth among publicly traded Bitcoin treasury companies, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data.

Strategy leads with 848,250 BTC, followed by Metaplanet with 44,000 BTC, Twenty One with 43,514 BTC and MARA with 35,577 BTC.

CEO Matt Cole has previously said Strive aims to finish 2026 as the world’s second-largest public Bitcoin holder.

The company remains 11,227 BTC behind Metaplanet, a gap valued at approximately $937.5 million at the price cited in the report. Closing it would require substantial additional purchases, and the target becomes more demanding if competing companies continue accumulating.

Strive’s cash and cash equivalents increased to $310.3 million from $284.7 million over the week despite the Bitcoin addition.

The filing also showed approximately 9.5 million more Class A shares outstanding and an increase of 532,094 SATA preferred shares.

Shares underlying outstanding traditional warrants declined by approximately 8 million.

The changes reflect continued capital markets activity supporting Strive’s treasury strategy. Additional common share issuance also increases the number of shares across which investors’ ownership is distributed.

Since going public in September 2025, Strive has accumulated Bitcoin through private investment proceeds, exchange activity, at-the-market programs and follow-on offerings.

SATA Preferred Stock Supports Financing Strategy

Strive has relied on financing instruments including its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, known as SATA.

The company positions SATA as a high-yield, Bitcoin-backed instrument modeled on Strategy’s STRC preferred stock. SATA currently offers a 13% annualized dividend rate, paid daily, according to the report.

Strive also holds 505,000 STRC shares, extending its exposure to Bitcoin-linked income products.

These instruments broaden its financing and investment strategy while creating dividend obligations alongside its Bitcoin holdings.

Saylor Praises Latest Bitcoin Addition

Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor praised Strive’s announcement on X. Strive’s 3,311 BTC increase was more than 13 times Strategy’s purchase of 250 BTC last week.

The comparison highlights Strive’s recent accumulation pace, although Strategy’s total treasury remains substantially larger.
