On Wednesday, Polygon Labs announced via a blog post that Tether’s stablecoin on Polygon has been upgraded from USDT to Polygon-native USDT0, the omnichain deployment of USDT.
Polygon explained that the upgrade simplifies transactions and deepens liquidity in a growing stablecoin and payments ecosystem. Users will enjoy lower fees, deeper liquidity, and faster bridging to other chains supporting USDT0 via USDT0’s native bridge.
Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. POL is down 0.78% in the last 24 hours and trades at $0.2406.
