São Paulo-based startup Moss.Earth focused on conservation and protecting the earth, which it plans to do through the use of web 3.0 and NFTs. One project that’s in operation is the sale of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that gives buyers the opportunity to own a piece of the Amazon rainforest.
Moss.Earth acquires the land that is sold through NFTs through its subsidiary Terra Vista Gestora de Recursos LTDA. In January, the company listed NFTs for an area of the Amazon called Blue River Farm on OpenSea, which sold for $100,000 in just a couple of hours.
