KuCoin has entered a partnership deal with Talos to improve accessibility and expand the exchange’s user capabilities

KuCoin has entered a partnership deal with Talos, a premier provider of institutional digital asset trading technology, to improve accessibility and expand the exchange’s user capabilities.

As part of the deal, KuCoin will open accounts to Talos institutional users to provide real-time liquidity. An exciting time for both blockchain firms, with the userbase of both platforms benefiting from a collaboration of technologies.

KuCoin And Talos

Talos is touted as one of the top market providers of institutional access to digital assets by providing institutional-grade technology for digital asset markets. The company's potential hasn’t gone unnoticed, with investors like Fidelity, Citi, BNY Mellon, and Wells Fargo all backing its innovative software.

The crypto firm now boasts an end-user base of more than 20 million users and a 20x increase in trading volumes over the past year. The company has taken advantage of the crypto winter and expanded its staff by 400% in 2022, with plans to continue scaling. The company recently announced a successful Series B funding round of $105 million, valuing the company at $1.25 billion.

Anton Katz, the co-found and CEO of Talos, commented on the collaboration saying, “As the institutional adoption of digital assets accelerates globally, we’re excited to partner with the great team at KuCoin to help propel this emerging asset class to institutional investors worldwide. Our long-term vision is that all markets will eventually trade on the digital asset rails, and we’re excited to build for the future today.”

While Johnny Lyu, CEO of KuCoin, had his say on the development and growth of the crypto industry. With increased investment from financial institutions, there’s a clear sign of mainstream adoption from these organizations. Lyu added: “In light of the growing participation of institutions in the cryptocurrency market, the KuCoin exchange is focused on supporting projects and companies that simplify their market entry and provide the necessary technologies for streamlining trading operations. As Talos develops software that enhances market participants’ connectivity to liquidity destinations, trade execution tools, analytics and other services, the KuCoin exchange values its latest partnership and is confident that cooperation will benefit both parties and the market at large.”

The ink is still fresh from the deal, so it will be some time before the practical applications are live for customers. Regardless, the future is exciting for Talos and KuCoin.
