The Hedera team announced via Twitter on Sunday that the blockchain has achieved a new milestone. The Hedera mainnet has processed over three billion transactions since it went live. The team added that they are just starting and now look forward to the next milestone at four billion transactions.
Hedera Hashgraph is distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.0701 at press time, down by 1% over the last 24 hours.
