The Stellar Organization announced in a blog post on Wednesday that GMO-Z.com Trust Company, Inc. will launch GYEN, the first regulated Japanese yen (“JPY”) stablecoin, and ZUSD, a U.S. dollar (“USD”) stablecoin, on the Stellar network.
The integration brings the world’s first regulated JPY-backed stablecoin and the trusted U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin to the Stellar network, the Stellar Organization added. Thanks to this latest partnership, users can transact seamlessly and cost-effectively across the established and proven Stellar global blockchain network, leveraging GYEN and ZUSD for near-instant, borderless transactions.
Stellar is an open-source network with the mission to "create equitable access to the global financial system." Stellar is maintained by the Stellar Development Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2014. XLM is down by 6% in the last 24 hours and is now trading at $0.0900 per coin.
