Blockchain.com Eyes $6B Valuation in 2026 IPO Push

TL;DR

  • Blockchain.com is reportedly aiming to go public before the end of 2026.

  • The company is discussing a potential $500 million raise at a $4 billion to $6 billion valuation.

  • It confirmed in May that it had confidentially submitted a draft IPO registration statement to the SEC.

Blockchain.com is targeting a U.S. initial public offering before the end of 2026 and is discussing a raise of about $500 million, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The talks reportedly contemplate a valuation between $4 billion and $6 billion. Those figures remain proposed terms rather than an announced offering price.

Confidential Filing Started SEC Review

Blockchain.com confirmed in May that it had confidentially submitted a draft registration statement for a proposed IPO of Class A ordinary shares.

The company said at the time that it had not determined the number of shares or a price range and that any offering would depend on market conditions and completion of the SEC review process.

A confidential submission lets a company begin that review before releasing its detailed financial disclosures to the public.

Blockchain.com has yet to announce final IPO terms or a listing date. The London-headquartered firm offers crypto wallets, exchange services, institutional trading and lending products.

Crypto IPO Market Could Face Another Test

A Blockchain.com listing would follow the 2025 public debuts of crypto companies including Circle, Gemini and Bullish.

Crypto IPO activity has been quieter in 2026 amid weaker market conditions earlier in the year, making investor demand for a new offering an important test of sentiment.

For now, the proposed $500 million raise and valuation range are part of reported discussions with prospective investors. Whether Blockchain.com proceeds this year, and on what terms, remains open.
