Bitget launches Stock+ to let users trade U.S. stocks using USDC, offering fractional shares, dividends, and brokerage-backed execution as part of its Stocks 2.0 expansion.

Bitget Launches Stock+ Feature, Expanding Access to Tokenized U.S. Equities

TL;DR

  • Bitget has launched Stock+, allowing users to buy fractional U.S. stocks using USDC with dividend and split benefits.

  • The product expands its Stocks 2.0 suite but remains restricted in several major regions.

Crypto Exchange Introduces Fractional U.S. Stock Trading via USDC

Bitget has launched a new product called Stock+, part of its broader Stocks 2.0 suite, enabling users to buy full and fractional shares of U.S. equities using digital assets converted into Circle’s USDC stablecoin.

According to the company, the offering provides users with exposure to underlying U.S. stocks while integrating traditional equity markets into a crypto-native trading environment.

The move marks another step in Bitget’s push to merge digital assets with real-world financial instruments.

Bitget said Stock+ users will be eligible for cash dividends and stock split adjustments tied to their holdings.

However, the exchange clarified that shareholder-related actions, including voting rights and dividend collection, must be executed through the Bitget platform rather than directly with traditional brokerage channels.

This structure allows users to gain economic exposure to equities while keeping custody and execution within the exchange’s ecosystem.

Transfers Supported From Existing Brokerage Accounts

The Stock+ feature also allows inbound transfers of U.S. stock holdings from participating brokerage platforms, enabling users to consolidate traditional equity positions alongside crypto and tokenized assets.

At launch, outbound transfers are not supported, although Bitget noted that the functionality is expected to be introduced at a later stage.

Bitget said Stock+ trades are routed through U.S.-licensed brokers RQD Clearing and Atomic Vaults Securities, with execution directed to major exchanges including Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange, as well as compliant market makers.

Services related to U.S. equities trading are provided by Parsa Financial Services Pty Limited, a Bitget group entity licensed in South Africa, according to the company.

The global rollout of Stock+ is subject to significant geographic restrictions.

The feature is not available to users in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, EU member states, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, and several other jurisdictions, including India, Kenya, Vietnam, and multiple additional countries across Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.

Bitget has not provided a detailed timeline for expanding availability to excluded regions.

The launch aligns with Bitget’s long-term strategy of building a “universal exchange,” where users can trade cryptocurrencies, tokenized real-world assets, commodities, and equities within a single platform.

Stock+ builds on the exchange’s earlier Stocks 2.0 upgrade announced in early June, which introduced the Reality regulated real-world asset protocol and rToken-based tokenized stock products.

According to the company, it now offers access to more than 500 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds, with assets under management tied to its rToken products surpassing $50 million.
