On Thursday, the Arbitrum team announced via X that it has partnered with the Karrat Foundation to launch Studio Chain, a gaming-focused chain that fosters Web3-native capabilities in entertainment and video games.
The collaboration makes the KARRAT token crucial to the chain built with Arbitrum’s Ethereum layer-2 scaling tech, and makes My Pet Hooligan (MPH) the flagship game of the budding ecosystem.
The Arbitrum Studios Chain will look to My Pet Hooligan creator AMGI Studios, which counts entertainment icons Paris Hilton and Coldplay as early investors, to deliver AAA gaming experiences, tokenized IP and content rights, and new democratized funding channels.
Arbitrum is a suite of scaling solutions on Ethereum that utilize Optimistic Rollup. It allows users to enjoy faster speed and cheaper transaction costs when interacting with web3 dApps. ARB, the native coin of the Arbitrum network, is up 1% today and is trading at $0.3480.
