The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) hopes to embrace NFAs (non-fungible animals) as a means to aid global wildlife conservation. The sale of these unique NFTs could help to preserve endangered animals. Among the NFAs up for sale were species of porpoises called Vaquita, with only 22 left in the wild.
The WWF stated that it was trying to “raise awareness and funds for the conservation of ten endangered species”, through the use of NFAs.
