SurgePays Inc. has finished the initial development on the newest version of its payment platform, which will enable store owners to sell certain cryptocurrencies to customers. As part of the company’s 8,000+ retail store network, local convenience and neighbourhood corner stores will be able to sell digital currencies with or without a bank account or credit card.

The plan is to release the update in January 2022, offering its stores the chance to offer cash sales of Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Ethereum. The new payment system will allow the store owner to facilitate the purchase of between $50 to $1,499 of cryptocurrency. On purchasing, customers will be given simple instructions on how to load the newly owned coins into a digital wallet of their choice.
