The Polygon team announced via a blog post on Thursday that Shemaroo, India’s leading media and entertainment company, will launch its NFT marketplace Virtasy.io exclusively on the Polygon network. Polygon explained that at launch, the marketplace would list NFTs from iconic Bollywood films, such as images, movie clips and 3D, metaverse-ready avatars.
NFT owners would be able to take their favorite Bollywood characters into the metaverse, be a part of memorable cinematic journeys, and build collections of their own precious moments. Furthermore, Virtasy’s community-centric platform also lets users earn and receive rewards along with added community engagements.
Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is up by 3 % in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $1.3255.
