Robinhood Chain DEX volume reached a record $989 million as TVL hit $708 million and demand shifted toward utility tokens and tokenized-stock pairs.

Robinhood Chain Hits Record $989M in Daily Trading Volume

TL;DR

  • Robinhood Chain recorded an all-time high of $989 million in daily decentralized exchange trading volume on Friday.

  • Total value locked reached a record $708 million after nearly doubling over the past month.

  • The chain’s stablecoin supply increased 47% month over month to approximately $770 million.

Robinhood Chain recorded a new milestone on Friday as daily decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume climbed to an all-time high of $989 million.

Growth was also evident across other key onchain metrics. The network’s total value locked (TVL) reached a record $708 million, representing an increase of nearly 100% over the past month.

Stablecoin supply on Robinhood Chain rose to approximately $770 million, marking a 47% month-over-month increase. The figures point to expanding liquidity and trading activity across the network.

Trading Shifts From Memecoins to Utility Tokens

Beyond the headline growth, the composition of Robinhood Chain’s activity has changed significantly.

In July, the network was largely driven by speculative demand for memecoins following CASHCAT’s rally and eventual listing on Robinhood’s spot market.

During August, however, traders increasingly focused on projects connected to infrastructure and practical onchain applications. This shift indicates that activity on the network is beginning to expand beyond short-lived memecoin speculation.

PONS, one of Robinhood Chain’s leading token launchpads, has emerged as a notable beneficiary of the changing market trend.

The project’s market capitalization climbed from approximately $20 million to more than $200 million during August, representing a tenfold increase in a single month.

PONS’ growth highlights the rising demand for infrastructure supporting the creation and trading of new assets on Robinhood Chain.

LONG Combines Memecoins With Tokenized Stocks

LONG, also known as long.xyz, is another prominent launchpad operating on the network. The platform primarily facilitates the creation of tokens—particularly memecoins—paired with tokenized stocks.

These stock-linked trading pairs remain one of Robinhood Chain’s principal differentiators from competing blockchain networks.

Artificial Inu, which trades under the ticker AI, is currently the largest stock-paired memecoin launched through LONG. The token is paired with tokenized Nvidia shares under the NVDA ticker.

AI’s market capitalization increased from $1.5 million on August 1 to a peak of $135 million on August 30.

The token’s NVDA liquidity pool now holds more than $3.3 million, over three times the liquidity available in its Wrapped Ether pool. This suggests that traders are showing stronger interest in the tokenized-stock pairing than its conventional crypto-denominated market.

Memecoins paired with tokenized equities now generate approximately one-quarter of all stock-linked trading volume on Robinhood Chain.

The trend combines the speculative appeal of memecoins with exposure to tokenized versions of publicly traded companies. It could also help Robinhood Chain distinguish itself in an increasingly competitive Layer 2 ecosystem.

Several other utility-focused projects on Robinhood Chain experienced substantial gains during August.

Delta, a liquidity-layer protocol, recorded strong growth alongside UP, a vote-escrow emissions project resembling Aerodrome on Base, and NetNet, a bonding protocol inspired by OlympusDAO.

Each of the three projects increased its valuation by approximately tenfold during August.

The rise of PONS, Delta, UP and NetNet suggests that Robinhood Chain’s recent expansion is increasingly being supported by infrastructure and utility projects, even as memecoins remain an important source of trading volume.
