DFINITY, the team behind the Internet Computer blockchain, announced via Twitter on Tuesday that registration for its Supernova global hackathon is now live. DFINITY is keen to support developers looking to build Web3 applications on the Internet Computer blockchain.

The Internet Computer is a layer-1 protocol developed by the DFINITY Foundation and aims to become a blockchain network that evolves the internet. This ‘internet computer’ intends to ‘extend the functionality of the public internet so that it can host backend software’ on a smart-contract compatible, distributed network.

ICP, the native token of the Internet Computer ecosystem, is down by more than 9% in the last 24 hours and is trading at $20.47 at press time.
