Jito’s JTX plans an equities feature within two weeks and a mobile app this fall, while prioritizing spot trading ahead of a possible winter perps launch.

Jito's JTX to Add Equities Trading Within Two Weeks

TL;DR

  • JTX plans to introduce an equities feature within two weeks and a mobile app later this fall.

  • Perpetual futures are expected to follow, potentially later this winter, although timing remains tentative.

  • The Solana-based platform is prioritizing spot trading features and improvements to its user experience.

  • Its stated fee model allocates 80% of trading revenue to the Jito DAO for JTO buybacks and burns, with 20% going to referrers.

Jito’s Solana-based trading platform JTX plans to release an equities feature within two weeks, followed by a mobile application later this fall.

Jito Foundation President Brian Smith outlined the roadmap in an interview with The Starting Block at the Digital Asset Summit 2026 Asia on Wednesday.

Perpetual futures are also planned, potentially later this winter. However, Smith said the team is currently concentrating on spot features, where it sees greater opportunities to distinguish the platform.

Equities Feature Builds on JTX’s Existing Offering

JTX launched in July with spot trading for cbBTC, SOL, HYPE, and memecoins, alongside tokenized equities and exchange-traded funds.

The forthcoming equities feature therefore builds on an existing offering rather than marking the platform’s first entry into tokenized stocks. Smith did not detail its functionality in the supplied interview.

The planned mobile app would extend access later this fall, while the timing of perpetual futures remains less definite.

Smith said JTX expects to integrate perpetuals but is directing its immediate development efforts toward improving spot trading.

At launch, JTX said it would charge a fee on each trade and allocate 80% of that revenue to the Jito DAO to buy back and burn JTO tokens.

The remaining 20% would be distributed to referrers. The structure links platform trading activity to token buybacks. However, Smith did not provide trading-volume figures when asked, leaving the scale of activity since launch undisclosed.

Instead, he emphasized the pace of product development and improvements to the user experience.

Onchain Discovery Tool Is Under Development

Smith said JTX’s interface has improved substantially since its July debut. The team also employs two full-time data scientists who are analyzing onchain information for a planned in-app discovery feature.

That work forms part of JTX’s effort to differentiate through spot trading tools. The interview did not provide a release date or further details about how the discovery feature will operate.

Smith described JTX as a “permissionless Robinhood,” positioning it around competitive fees and longer holding periods.

He contrasted that approach with Solana applications focused heavily on early-stage memecoins, saying JTX is pursuing a different trading experience.

Jito Labs CEO Lucas Bruder similarly said at launch that the platform targets people who identify as traders rather than primarily as crypto-native participants.

On derivatives, Smith acknowledged that Solana still has considerable work ahead. He credited Hyperliquid with attracting centralized-exchange traders to onchain markets while describing spot trading as Solana’s strength.

That assessment helps explain JTX’s current priorities: expand its spot offering, improve discovery, and introduce mobile access before adding perpetual futures.
