On Monday, the Injective team announced via X that Injective USDC is set to launch on the Cosmos blockchain and dYdX DEX. This integration solidifies long-term USDC support in the ecosystem via Injective for a minimum of 4 years. The integration will be rolled out over the coming months.
Migration support will be available for Cosmos chains moving from Noble USDC to Injective USDC, beginning with a rollout of USDC on Injective to dYdX in the coming months.
As part of the dYdX migration, USDC on Injective will become the recommended default USDC denomination in Skip:Go. CCTP support on Injective will enable one-signature transfers between Injective and supported chains, preserving the same single-transaction user experience that Skip:Go users have today. Teams integrating USDC for the first time should also default to Injective for the best long-term onboarding support.
A portion of fees earned by Injective USDC will be used to programmatically buy back ATOM, creating a direct connection between ecosystem activity for Injective USDC and the Cosmos Hub. More details will be announced soon.
