On Thursday, the Injective team announced via X that it has officially released the Real-Time USDC Mainnet Upgrade proposal. The proposal seeks to establish $INJ as the definitive settlement layer for real-time stablecoin infrastructure and programmable payments at scale.
The upgrade enforces strict metadata validation on every ERC20 token pair created onchain, ensuring full interoperability from genesis as Circle's native $USDC issuance scales across Injective.
