TL;DR
-
Injective extended its gains Wednesday after rallying 11% the previous day.
-
The advance followed news of SEC transfer agent registration tied to its tokenization offering.
-
INJ traded around $8.27, testing resistance at $8.21 that has capped recoveries since November 2025.
-
A sustained breakout could bring $10.09 into focus, representing roughly 22% upside from the quoted price.
Injective (INJ) traded higher Wednesday after an 11% surge Tuesday, as news of SEC transfer agent registration lifted sentiment around its institutional tokenization ambitions.
The token hovered near $8.27, placing it just above the closely watched $8.21 resistance level. Holding that breakout could strengthen the recovery and open a path toward $10.
Transfer Agent Registration Supports Tokenization Push
Injective announced Tuesday that it had secured transfer agent registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, describing the development as a milestone for its tokenized asset infrastructure.
The announcement follows several initiatives cited by the project, including live trade receivables pilots with POSCO International and LG CNS, more than $1 billion in tokenized mortgage data recorded onchain, and pre-IPO markets linked to SpaceX and OpenAI shares.
Injective aims to provide infrastructure for institutional issuance and management of tokenized equities, Treasuries, and other assets.
The registration relates to transfer agent activities; it does not establish SEC approval of the INJ token or every asset offered through the network.
INJ Tests Resistance That Has Held Since November 2025
INJ’s latest advance has brought the $8.21 level back into focus. The barrier corresponds to the October 11, 2025 low and has capped recovery attempts since November 2025.
Although the token was trading slightly above it Wednesday, a sustained move is needed to confirm that buyers have overcome the resistance.
A confirmed breakout could extend the rally toward $10.09, the October 13, 2025 high. That would represent approximately 22% upside from $8.27.
Failure to hold above $8.21 would leave the recovery vulnerable to another rejection at the longstanding barrier.
Injective remains well above its 50-day exponential moving average at $6.8318 and its 200-day EMA at $5.6990, supporting the broader recovery structure.
The Relative Strength Index sits around 60, indicating positive momentum without reaching conventional overbought territory.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence line remains marginally below its signal line. A bullish crossover could reinforce the improving outlook, but it has yet to be confirmed.

Together, the indicators suggest buyers have gained strength, with the $8.21 breakout still the immediate test.
If selling pressure returns, the 50-day EMA near $6.83 provides the first major support reference identified in the analysis.
A deeper pullback would bring the 200-day EMA around $5.70 into view. For now, the near-term outlook depends on whether INJ can establish support above $8.21 and sustain buying interest after its sharp advance.
