Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) announced via a blog post on Tuesday that it has entered the metaverse via The Sandbox. VARA said it is the world’s first regulator to make its debut in the Metaverse. VARA seeks to ensure that it is accessible to its industry in its environment, and facilitates collaborative engagement between global Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), Industry thought-leaders, and International Regulatory Authorities.

The Sandbox is a virtual world built on the Ethereum blockchain, where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences. SAND has added more than 1% to its value in the last 24 hours and currently trades at $2.1607 per token.
