The Cosmos team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that it has released a new version of the Cosmos SDK called Eden. The new version is set to boost tremendously the performance of Cosmos SDK chains.
Eden comes with some exciting features, such as the completion of ABCI++, which revolutionizes consensus flexibility, and the introduction of AutoCLI, reducing the complexity of module creation, and enabling a smoother and more efficient developer experience.
Furthermore, IAVL 1.0 is another highlight, bringing forth substantial improvements in disk storage and overall performance, representing a critical advancement in the Cosmos SDK infrastructure. New additions like Optimistic Execution further enhance performance, enabling the execution of block time ahead of consensus, the team added.
Cosmos is a network connecting many independent distributed ledgers (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin) to achieve interoperability across blockchains. ATOM, the native token of Cosmos, is up by 2% in the last 24 hours and is trading at $9.525 at press time.
