he Chiliz team announced via X on Monday that the Snake8 hard fork is coming to Chiliz Chain today, October 14th. The Snake8 upgrade changes how blocks are produced. Introducing a randomized, stake-weighted system that rewards performance while keeping decentralization alive.
Block production will depend on how much $CHZ is staked on a validator. Giving delegators more influence and validators more reason to compete. This ensures that big validators earn more chances to produce blocks while small validators stay protected through a minimum participation rule that guarantees they’ll still get their share of the action.
