The BNB Chain released the white paper for Greenfield on Wednesday, February 1, 2022. The BNB Greenfield is a decentralized storage system that promises each user full ownership over their data.

The BNB Chain is the distributed blockchain network where users can build decentralized apps. The Binance Coin powers the BNB ecosystem. Binance is the world’s largest cryptocurrency trading platform, in terms of daily trading volume. Binance reviews emphasize how Binance is on the cutting-edge of Web 3.0 financial services.

Existing BNB Chain dApps and new Greenfield dApps will be able to store data in the Greenfield. Data will be able to be uploaded with unique usages and permission, and proper redundancy and backup.

An excerpt from the white paper states that, once launched, users will be able to:

  1. Log in with anonymous cryptographic-based keys (IDs)
  2. Create, read and execute data with a UX similar to that of today's leading state-of-the-art cloud storage services
  3. Fully own their data assets, control who can use them, and how, both manually and programmatically
  4. Leverage their data for their own and others' financial benefit
