The Algorand team announced via a blog post on Monday that it is supporting an international all-star student hacker team. The Algorand Foundation said it will send students from top blockchain student clubs on scholarships to the Activate x Wormhole Hackathon in Miami.

The students are from Kryptosphere, a student blockchain organization with more than 600 members spanning across France and including multiple schools in Paris, Mareille, Rennes, Lyon, Toulouse and Angers.

Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products”. As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network". ALGO is trading at $0.4780 at press time, down by more than 1% in the last 24 hours.
