The Algorand Foundation announced via Twitter on Friday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Ripio, Argentina’s leading digital asset platform. The partnership is designed to accelerate the adoption of Algorand in Latin America.
Ripio’s integration with Algorand offers users the fastest and cheapest option for USDC on-ramp and transfers across major exchanges. This strategic partnership addresses the needs of users in Latin America, where cost-effectiveness plays a crucial role in crypto adoption, the Algorand Foundation added.
Algorand is an open-source, permissionless, Pure Proof-of-Stake (PPoS) blockchain protocol for “the next generation of financial products.” As such, Algorand ensures "full participation, protection and speed within a truly decentralized network." ALGO is trading at $0.0970 at press time, down by 1% in the last 24 hours.
