On Wednesday, the Avalanche Foundation announced via a blog post that Akave, a decentralized storage network built for modern data infrastructure, has launched Akave Cloud, the first decentralized data layer deployed on an Avalanche L1.
Designed for decentralized AI, decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN), and enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS), Akave enables encrypted, programmable, and verifiable storage. With Akave Cloud now live, developers can build on self-sovereign storage backed by Avalanche’s high-performance blockchain infrastructure.
Early adopters, like Intuizi, The Defiant, and Heurist.ai, are already utilizing Akave Cloud to support workloads that require transparency, security, and control. Akave is also the first decentralized storage system integrated with Snowflake, enabling analytics teams to work with familiar tools while shifting to sovereign, verifiable infrastructure.
Avalanche is an open-source platform for launching Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications and enterprise blockchain deployments in an interoperable, highly scalable ecosystem.AVAX is up 4.8% today and currently trades at $19.40 per coin.
