On Thursday, the TronDAO team announced via X that it has partnered with blockchain organizations at Columbia University and Harvard University. The partnerships extend TRON DAO’s academic network, which already includes collaborations with world-class universities such as Imperial College London, Yale University, Dartmouth College, Princeton University, MIT, Cornell University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
The collaborations aim to empower student-led blockchain innovation by providing funding, educational resources, and hands-on learning opportunities at two of the world’s most prestigious academic institutions. TRON Academy will support essential club activities, including recruitment initiatives, educational workshops, and student-led blockchain development projects. The program also helps students attend major global conferences, offering exposure to real-world blockchain use cases and the chance to connect with leading industry experts.
TRON is a public blockchain attempting to become the core infrastructure for a decentralized internet. TRON relies on a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) mechanism in which 27 Super Representatives rotate every 6 hours to validate blocks and transactions. TRX is down 4.2% today and is trading at $0.3135 at press time.
