BlackRock and Securitize Expand BUIDL to BNB Chain, Powered by Wormhole

BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), tokenized by Securitize, has launched a new share class on BNB Chain, with interoperability powered exclusively by Wormhole.

On Friday, the Wormhole team announced in a blog post that the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), tokenized by Securitize, has launched a new share class on BNB Chain, with interoperability powered exclusively by Wormhole.

BUIDL is now accessible across nine blockchain networks: Arbitrum, Aptos, Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and Solana. The addition of BNB Chain provides access to one of crypto's largest DeFi ecosystems, where BUIDL can integrate with lending protocols, yield strategies, and liquidity venues across the network's high-throughput infrastructure.

Wormhole is a leading interoperability platform powering multichain applications and bridges at scale. Wormhole’s modular suite of open-source, permissionless protocols and tools is being used by multichain builders to create some of the most popular web3 applications. W is trading at $0.05328, down 3.3% in the last 24 hours.  

BNB powers the BNB Chain ecosystem and is the native coin of the BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain. BNB is currently trading at $932, down 1% in the last 24 hours.
