KеерKеу Wallet is a hardware wallet for storing cryptocurrencies. It is a multicurrency wallet, which uses advanced technology to prevent hacks and theft of digital assets. The wallet’s integration with the ShapeShift makes it possible for users to exchange their digital assets directly from the hardware device.

KeepKey boasts a recovery feature that allows users to retrieve accounts from a damaged or stolen device. The device comes with a big screen for a clear display of transaction information and a button for controlling operations right from the device.

KeepKey wallet is one of Shapeshift’s three products. KeepKey as a company producing the hardware wallet device was originally founded by Darin Stаnсhfіеld in 2015 before it became “Shapeshift aware” following a partnership in 2016. The wallet’s integration with the Shapeshift exchange API enabled the capability for users to exchange their cryptocoins using the KeepKey device.

Shapeshift eventually acquired KeepKey in 2017, a move that further reflects both companies commitment to privacy and security. Shapeshift’s CEO is Erik Voorhees and the company is headquartered in Switzerland. As part of the acquisition agreement, KeepKey maintains its brand and product line.

KeepKey’s major competitors include TREZOR and Ledger Nano S.

KеерKеу ѕuрроrtѕ top cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Gold, Dash and over 40 ERC-20 tokens. Transaction fees apply when using the KeepKey hardware wаllеt. The fees are calculated based on network congestion. KeepKey offers the custom fee feature for Bitcoin transactions. With this, users can select a fast, medium or slow transaction speed. The faster the transaction, the higher the fees.

For other digital assets, KeepKey automatically assigns a fee ensuring transactions are confirmed with a minimal wait time. It should be pointed out here that KeepKey receives no portion of the fees. All transaction fees are awarded to miners in the blockchain network.

The KeepKey wallet costs $79 on the official website. There might be a slight variation depending on the retail outlet you choose to purchase from and your location which will determine the shipping costs.
