The Zilliqa team announced via a blog post on Thursday that the next network upgrade will include several enhancements to EVM compatibility. Zilliqa v9.3.4 is set to include several changes that will improve the development experience on the network, in addition to fixes for specific bugs related to EVM compatibility.

The issues that would be resolved include the duplication of logging events for EVM transactions, gas estimation returning a low result, eth_getTransactionCount() not supporting pending block numbers, and eth_getLogs() stopping supplying logs after being regularly called for some time.

Zilliqa (ZIL) is one of the world’s first blockchains being built on a sharded architecture and features smart contracts written in the platform’s proprietary programming language: Scilla. ZIL is trading at $0.02365 at press time, up by 4% in the last 24 hours.
