The Zilliqa team unveiled its Skill2Earn approach to Web3 gaming in its blog post on Monday.

The Zilliqa team unveiled its Skill2Earn approach to Web3 gaming in its blog post on Monday. Skill2Earn is a merit-based system that rewards the best gamers. Skill2Earn puts gamers and incentives first. 

Players are rewarded based on their in-game performance, allowing them to earn tokens for outcompeting their rivals which, in turn, incentivises deeper engagement than Play-to-Earn mechanics.

Zilliqa added that it intends for Skill2Earn to drive the network effects and growth of the ecosystem. Player activity in-game leads to more transaction volume, wallets, TVL, and dApp development for the Zilliqa network.

Zilliqa (ZIL) is one of the world’s first blockchains being built on a sharded architecture and features smart contracts written in the platform’s proprietary programming language: Scilla. ZIL is trading at $0.02385 at press time, down by 1% in the last 24 hours.
