The Zilliqa team announced via Twitter on Thursday that its community members have voted in favor of introducing gZIL delegation. This change will allow gZIL holders to appoint delegates that can vote on their behalf, making it much easier to actively participate in governance.

According to the team, gZIL delegation allows users to entrust their voting rights to parties that have the time and expertise to make informed decisions on governance proposals that are in the best interest of the Zilliqa community.

Zilliqa (ZIL) is one of the world’s first blockchains being built on a sharded architecture and features smart contracts written in the platform’s proprietary programming language: Scilla. ZIL is trading at $0.02065 at press time, down by 2% in the last 24 hours.
