  • The rally comes after OpenAI launched text-to-video AI model Sora.

WLD Rallies to a New All-time High Price of $6.80

WLD, the native coin of the Worldcoin ecosystem, has been rallying over the last few days. The coin added more than 100% to its value over the past seven days, outperforming the other major cryptocurrencies during that period.

The rally saw WLD set a new all-time high price of $6.80 and came following the launch of OpenAI's Sora AI model. At press time, WLD’s price stands at $6.62, up by more than 22% in the last 24 hours.

Thanks to the rally, WLD now has a market cap of over $700 million and is the 85th-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

The project is backed by Tools of Humanity, a company with Sam Altman as a co-founder and Chairman. Sam Altman is the CEO of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. Last week, OpenAI launched Sora, an AI model that lets users turn text into video.

WLD has reacted to news related to OpenAI in the past. Its rally comes as Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies stagnated over the weekend. BTC, the world’s leading cryptocurrency by market cap, remains above the $52k level, up by more than 1% in the last 24 hours.  The total cryptocurrency market cap now stands at $1.98 trillion, up by 2% so far today.
