The Injective team announced via X on Monday that the Volan Upgrade is now successfully operating on the Injective Testnet. With this upgrade, Injective will achieve near-instant finality with sub-second block times, enabling fast and seamless transactions for users and developers.

The upgrade will also allow Injective to become fully interoperable with the Cosmos ecosystem and other IBC-enabled chains, allowing users to transfer assets and data across different networks. In addition to that, Injective will support CosmWasm, a leading smart contract framework for the Cosmos ecosystem.

Finally, the upgrade will enable Injective to maintain its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to deploy existing Ethereum smart contracts on Injective with minimal changes.

Injective is an open, interoperable layer-one blockchain for building powerful DeFi applications. Injective uniquely provides plug-and-play financial infrastructure primitives, such as a high-performance on-chain decentralized exchange infrastructure, decentralized bridges, oracles, and a composable smart contract layer with CosmWasm. INJ is trading at $37.260, down by more than 6% in the last 24 hours.
