On Friday, the Wormhole team announced via a blog post that STBL has integrated Wormhole’s Native Token Transfers (NTT) standard to bring USST, its USD-pegged stablecoin, natively to Ethereum and BNB Chain.
STBL is a decentralized non-custodial protocol introducing the next evolution of stablecoins. USST is a USD-pegged stablecoin minted by locking tokenized RWAs as collateral. USST is designed to be liquid, stable, and freely usable for payments trading or as a reserve asset.
By leveraging Wormhole’s NTT standard, USST ensures STBL can scale seamlessly across Ethereum and BNB Chain, eliminating liquidity fragmentation. With NTT, projects maintain full control over their tokens’ behavior on each chain, including aspects such as customizability, metadata management, and ownership or upgradeability. This ensures compatibility with any token standard or governance system, offering unparalleled flexibility and adaptability.
Wormhole is a leading interoperability platform powering multichain applications and bridges at scale. Wormhole’s modular suite of open-source, permissionless protocols and tools is being used by multichain builders to create some of the most popular web3 applications.
