TL;DR
-
Umbra and Streamflow have launched private token vesting on Solana.
-
This feature allows projects to vest and distribute tokens confidentially at scale.
Umbra and Streamflow have introduced a new private token vesting system on Solana, enabling crypto projects to distribute and unlock tokens at scale without exposing sensitive onchain data.
The companies told The Block that the integration is designed to bring confidentiality to token vesting while preserving existing distribution tools used across the ecosystem.
Encrypted Vesting Powered by Arcium
The new system is powered by Arcium, which enables encrypted execution of vesting schedules.
Through the integration, Streamflow users can continue using familiar features such as:
-
Time-based token locks
-
Price-based release conditions
-
Automated distribution workflows
However, the key difference is that the underlying token transfers remain private, rather than publicly visible on-chain.
Recipients receive vested tokens directly into Umbra wallets, with each new vesting schedule feeding into a shared anonymity pool that strengthens privacy across the network.
Umbra founder Kru Shah described the launch as “a landmark moment for the industry.”
Token vesting is widely used to align incentives between founders, investors, and communities, but it is typically fully transparent on-chain.
In 2025 alone, an estimated $97 billion worth of tokens were released through vesting and unlock schedules — almost all publicly traceable.
This transparency can expose:
-
Wallet identities
-
Unlock timing schedules
-
Allocation sizes
Such visibility can create front-running risks and informational imbalances, especially for large token distributions where market participants can anticipate supply shocks.
Streamflow Expands Its Solana Focus
Streamflow, which recently committed to operating exclusively on Solana, currently serves over 1.3 million users and more than 40,000 projects.
It is one of the leading platforms for token distribution on the network, offering tools for:
-
Vesting and token locks
-
Token streaming
-
Airdrops
-
Staking workflows
The new privacy integration is available through two tracks:
-
A standard access track with default pricing for most teams
-
A custom track for high-volume or specialized use cases
The companies said several high-volume projects are already in discussions, with additional announcements expected soon.
Streamflow CEO Malisha Stanojevic said that “onchain privacy is the next frontier” needed for mainstream crypto adoption.
Umbra, which launched its Solana privacy wallet in March, also raised $155 million in ICO commitments on MetaDAO in October 2025, marking one of the largest fundraising events on the platform.
This latest development reflects a broader industry shift toward balancing blockchain transparency with selective privacy in token distribution systems.
