TinyTap has announced a partnership with Open Campus, resulting in the launch of season 2 of Publisher NFTs.

TinyTap has announced a partnership with Open Campus. The two entities have launched Season 2 of the Publisher NFTs (PNFTs) and will commence its pre-sale coverage from October 9-17, 2023 before transitioning into the official sale starting October 17, 2023.

Season 2 comes with the introduction of 720 PNFTs, each tied to tangible assets in the form of course content on the TinyTap platform. These PNFTs are designed to cultivate an accessible and equitable financial landscape for educators and investors.

The new season also follows the initial success of the innovative first season of the PNFT initiative. Season 1 enabled educators to realize significant financial gains, in some instances, equating to an entire year’s salary from the sale of a single course.

According to the team, season 2 introduces a different approach: releasing a higher volume of “mystery box” NFTs at a fixed price. This provides investors and educators with an accessible and exciting opportunity.

Investors will enjoy a share of the revenue from related course content via EDU tokens. Season 2 includes a mystery reveal process, during which investors have the opportunity to mint one of four rarity levels. The rarest classes include courses that have previously generated the most substantial revenues.

The team explained that PNFTs have two major benefits. The first is that they allow educators to earn equitable shares of revenue. Secondly, they create a new, tangible asset class for NFT investors.

TinyTap said it is offering its scope in the second season and will offer nearly 1000 NFTs at a more accessible price point, thus appealing to a more extensive market segment.

TinyTap, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, was founded in 2012 and is the world’s largest educational games library, with more than 250,000 activities made by educators and publishers, including Sesame Street and Oxford University Press. Meanwhile, Open Campus is a community-led protocol for educators, content creators, parents, and students. It puts decisions about learning back into the hands of educators and their students by fostering a collaborative environment, enabling teachers to create materials that appeal to the exact needs of students.

Finally, Animoca Brands is a leader in digital entertainment, blockchain, and gamification that is working to advance digital property rights and contribute to the establishment of the open metaverse. The company develops and publishes a broad portfolio of products, including original games such as The Sandbox, Phantom Galaxies, Life Beyond, Crazy Kings, and Crazy Defense Heroes.
