The Injective team announced via X on Saturday that the Volan mainnet proposal is now live for community members to vote. If approved for deployment on the mainnet, the Injective blockchain will achieve near-instant finality with sub-second block times, enabling fast and seamless transactions for users and developers.
The development team also revealed that the upgrade will allow Injective to become fully interoperable with the Cosmos ecosystem and other IBC-enabled chains, allowing users to transfer assets and data across different networks. In addition to that, Injective will support CosmWasm, a leading smart contract framework for the Cosmos ecosystem.
Finally, the upgrade will enable Injective to maintain its compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to deploy existing Ethereum smart contracts on Injective with minimal changes.
