HBAR Foundation, the development team behind the Hedera blockchain, announced via a blog post on Tuesday that Taekion’s TFS LIte is launching a private beta on Hedera mainnet.

Taekion is the first platform to allow entire files and computer file systems to be stored on the blockchain making these files encrypted, immutable, and tamper-proof for the entire life-cycle of the data.

The company will utilize Hedera’s Consensus Service (HCS) to help achieve its mission to become the secure Dropbox for critical data with TFS Lite and eventually for any data. Thanks to this latest development, users will benefit from a fast, fair, and secure aBFT consensus and get the peace of mind of knowing their files, once confirmed, are stored on an immutable, distributed ledger.

Hedera Hashgraph is a distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance. HBAR is trading at $0.597 at press time, down by 3% over the last 24 hours.
