BTC And DOGE Now Available On Robinhood’s Wallet

Robinhood Markets Inc. has added support for bitcoin (BTC) and dogecoin (DOGE) to its wallet. This latest development comes as the company seeks to expand the breadth of its crypto wallet beyond the Ethereum ecosystem.

Robinhood informed its wallet users that they can now send and receive DOGE and BTC. The company revealed that its wallet now has hundreds of thousands of users across 140 countries globally.

Prior to this latest development, the wallet users could only send and receive ether (ETH) and tokens built on the Ethereum blockchain. However, Robinhood said its users wanted to have access to more assets, resulting in its product expansion.

Robinhood also revealed that it is working on rolling out sway features for some selected users. The feature would allow users to trade Ether for over 200 different assets.

The wallet can charge users gas fees for any tokens they hold. Furthermore, all Robinhood users will have access to the swap feature over the next few weeks, the company added.

Robinhood has been making changes to its operations recently. The company recently ended its crypto affiliation with Jump Trading and is working with some market makers like BC2C.
