The Polygon team announced that DEVITA, a blockchain-based health data platform, is now part of the Polygon ecosystem.

In a blog post on Wednesday, the Polygon team announced that DEVITA, a blockchain-based health data platform, is now part of the Polygon ecosystem. DEVITA wants to optimize legacy healthcare processes and operations through the latest innovations in decentralized identification (DID) and non-fungible token (NFT) technologies.

With Polygon’s network, DEVITA can leverage lightning-fast data transmission and exceptionally low transaction costs to provide opportunities for more equitable healthcare and personal data management to its users, the Polygon team added.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications.

MATIC is up by 1% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $1.426.
