The Polygon team announced via Twitter on Thursday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with SK Telecom, a leading ICT company in Korea. Polygon will spearhead the development of SKT's Web3 ecosystem.

The partnership is designed to combine SKT's telecom prowess with Polygon's blockchain scaling infrastructure to enable SKT users to enjoy experiences unique to web3 environments with secure, high-speed and cost-efficient transactions.

As part of the partnership, SKT will integrate Polygon blockchain support into its NFT marketplace, TopPort, and its Web3 wallet to enhance user experiences and drive blockchain tech adoption.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is down by 8% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.5719.
