The Polygon team announced via Twitter on Monday that it has partnered with Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four auditing companies in the world. The partnership will see the entities launch the first-ever Layer 2 Zero-Knowledge (ZK) on the Polygon mainnet. A zero-knowledge proof, sometimes also referred to as a ZK protocol, is a verification method that takes place between a prover and a verifier.

Polygon (previously Matic Network) is the first well-structured, easy-to-use platform for Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development. Its core component is Polygon SDK, a modular, flexible framework that supports building multiple types of applications. MATIC is up by 3% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at $0.707.
