The Near Protocol announced via X on Thursday that its Chain Signatures tech has moved into mainnet. The Near Protocol Chain Signatures allow the signing of any transaction on any blockchain directly from your NEAR Account.

The team has now launched Chain Signatures for Bitcoin, Ethereum (and any EVM chain), Dogecoin, XRP, Cosmos, Polkadot, and more. Any ECDSA-based chain is compatible. Near Protocol will also launch Chain Signature for Solana soon.

With Chain Signatures, users can utilize their NEAR Account to interact with (almost) any chain, unlock bridgeless Omnichain DeFi, and launch Omnichain tokens (one token with issuance on multiple chains).

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized application platform designed to make apps similarly usable to those on today’s web. The network runs on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Nightshade, which aims to provide dynamic scalability and stabilize fees. NEAR is trading at $4.100, up 10% in the last 24 hours.
