On Wednesday, the Wormhole team announced via X that Mercado Bitcoin, Latin America’s largest tokenization platform and Brazil’s largest crypto exchange, has chosen Wormhole as its exclusive interoperability provider.
Mercado Bitcoin (MB) will leverage Wormhole to expand its $200M tokenized asset portfolio globally across all major blockchain networks. As part of the collaboration, the Wormhole Foundation will make a strategic investment in one of MB’s tokenized offerings.
Wormhole is a decentralized bridge between blockchains that enables the transfer of assets and data across different blockchain networks. It aims to facilitate interoperability and expand the capabilities of blockchain technology. W is trading at $0.0872, down 1.5% in the last 24 hours.
