Ledger To Allow Users Purchase Bitcoin, Ether Through PayPal Account

Hardware wallet maker Ledger has integrated with PayPal to allow its users to purchase BTC and ETH on Ledger Live via PayPal.

Ledger Allows Crypto Purchase Via PayPal

Hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger has collaborated with PayPal to allow users to purchase cryptocurrencies in its Ledger Live app via their PayPal accounts. The companies announced this latest development on Wednesday. 

With Ledger Live, users can purchase cryptocurrencies using fiat currencies and also deposit tokens directly to the hardware wallet. Following its integration with PayPal, Ledger Live users can now link their PayPal accounts without additional verification. 

While commenting on this latest development, Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier stated that;

“We’re combining the uncompromising security of Ledger with PayPal's leadership in protected payments technology to help facilitate a seamless platform for user crypto transactions. Ledger is committed to simplifying the world of crypto, and PayPal is committed to making the movement of money as simple, reliable and affordable as possible.”

At the moment, Ledger Live supports four cryptos in the US, including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH), bitcoin cash (BCH) and litecoin (LTC).

This latest cryptocurrency news comes as PayPal looks to expand its presence in the crypto space. Last week, PayPal announced the launch of its stablecoin PYUSD. The stablecoin is designed to help the company achieve growth in the digital payments space.
