KuMining Hits $25M in Sales and 200K Users in First Year

KuMining reports over $25 million in first-year sales, 200,000 users, and 5 EH/s in Bitcoin hashrate sales as it expands its cloud mining services.

KuMining Hits $25M in Sales and 200K Users in First Year

KuMining, a cloud mining platform developed by cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin, has marked its first anniversary by reporting more than $25 million in total sales volume and over 200,000 retail and institutional users.

In a press release shared with Cryptowisser, the company also said cumulative Bitcoin hashrate sales exceeded 5 exahashes per second during its first year of operation.

The figure refers to computing power sold through the platform rather than the amount of hashrate continuously active at a particular time.

KuMining has expanded from its original Bitcoin and merged Dogecoin-Litecoin mining services to support five Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies. It is now considering whether to apply its computing-service model to graphics processing units and artificial intelligence infrastructure.

KuMining Expands to Five Proof-of-Work Assets

KuMining launched with support for Bitcoin mining and merged mining involving Dogecoin and Litecoin.

The platform has since added Zcash and Kaspa, bringing its supported asset portfolio to BTC, DOGE, LTC, ZEC and KAS. Zcash became available in July 2026, followed by Kaspa in August.

All five cryptocurrencies use Proof-of-Work consensus, under which mining equipment performs computational work to help process transactions and secure a blockchain.

KuMining’s DOGE/LTC product uses merged mining, allowing the same computing power to contribute to both networks simultaneously. The structure can improve resource efficiency because miners do not need separate hardware operations for each asset.

Support for several networks gives users more choice, but returns can vary considerably by cryptocurrency. Mining output is influenced by asset prices, network difficulty, block rewards, electricity expenses, service fees and the amount of computing power competing for rewards.

The operating figures in the announcement—including sales volume, user count and hashrate sold—were reported by KuMining.

Platform Removes the Need to Manage Mining Hardware

Cloud mining allows customers to purchase access to computing power generated by physical mining equipment without owning or operating the machines themselves.

KuMining and its partners manage the hardware, electricity, cooling and maintenance. Users instead select an asset, purchase hashrate for a specified period and receive output from the corresponding mining activity.

The model can lower the technical barriers associated with mining. Running physical equipment directly requires upfront hardware investment, suitable space, reliable electricity, and systems capable of managing heat and noise.

Transferring those responsibilities to a provider does not eliminate financial risk. Customers pay for hashrate before knowing the future value of the assets mined, while electricity charges continue throughout the service period.

Mining may become less profitable if cryptocurrency prices fall, network difficulty increases, or operating costs rise. Purchasing cloud-mining capacity does not guarantee that the value of the resulting assets will exceed the total fees paid.

Users must also depend on the platform and its partners to operate the underlying equipment and calculate mining output accurately.

KuMining 2.0 Adds Lite and Pro Modes

KuMining introduced its 2.0 platform in March 2026, adding two service modes and more flexible account-management tools.

Lite Mode allows customers to choose a cryptocurrency, budget, and service duration. The platform then matches those selections with the corresponding amount of hashrate.

The mode is designed for users who want simpler access without manually calculating the computing power required for a particular order.

Pro Mode provides greater control over the hashrate purchased and the length of the service agreement. Depending on the asset, contracts can run for as long as 360 days.

Longer service periods provide extended mining exposure but also increase uncertainty. Network economics and token prices can change substantially over nearly a year.

Hashrate fees are paid upfront, while electricity expenses are deducted daily in USDT. Users must therefore maintain enough stablecoin balance to cover continuing power costs.

A dedicated Mining Account displays mining output, available balances, electricity deductions, and order histories. Assets generated through the service can also be traded or placed in eligible KuCoin Earn products.

Using mined assets in additional yield products introduces separate risks and terms beyond those of the original mining agreement.

KuMining Considers GPU and AI Computing Services

KuMining Chief Operating Officer Jolie Du said the company spent its first year making cryptocurrency mining more accessible through flexible hashrate products and clearer account management.

“As we enter our second year, we will continue to strengthen our infrastructure and explore extending this service model to GPU and AI compute offerings,” Du said.

Expanding into AI computing would place KuMining in a rapidly growing market for access to specialized chips. Training and operating AI models require substantial processing capacity, power and cooling—resources that overlap with some of the infrastructure expertise developed by cryptocurrency miners.

The company did not disclose a launch date, hardware specifications or business model for potential GPU and AI services. The plan therefore remains exploratory.

Anniversary Campaign Offers More Than 100,000 USDT

KuMining launched its “Mine, Earn & Celebrate” anniversary campaign on September 22, offering rewards valued at more than 100,000 USDT.

The promotion includes incentives for new users and cumulative purchases, along with hashrate and electricity-fee coupons. A guaranteed-prize draw allows eligible customers to earn entries by completing purchase and referral tasks.

Listed prizes include USDT, BTC, KAS, ZEC, DOGE and LTC, as well as an iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods Pro 3.

Participation requirements, campaign duration, and reward distribution remain subject to KuMining’s official terms. Prospective users should evaluate the underlying mining costs and risks independently of promotional rewards before purchasing hashrate.
