The Injective team unveiled the Ionic upgrade to its Injective Bridge via its X post on Tuesday. Thanks to the Ionic upgrade, Injective users can now bridge any asset from the larger IBC ecosystem, bridge the latest assets via Wormhole 2.0, and continuously bridge any ERC20 token via the native Ethereum bridge.

With one click, users can deposit from major networks such as Ethereum, Polygon and more. Major assets can also be bridged to a designated address, providing more flexibility to users. Furthermore, users can monitor every single step of the bridging process at all times through a simple UI and detailed explorers.

The Ionic upgrade for the Injective Bridge also provides for the first time a detailed history of any transfer made. With the Ionic upgrade directly integrating Wormhole Gateway, users no longer need to manually convert bridged assets into Bank assets. This process now occurs automatically, significantly enhancing the seamlessness of bridging for end-users, the team concluded.

Injective is an open, interoperable layer-one blockchain for building powerful DeFi applications. Injective uniquely provides plug-and-play financial infrastructure primitives, such as a high-performance on-chain decentralized exchange infrastructure, decentralized bridges, oracles, and a composable smart contract layer with CosmWasm. INJ is trading at $39.10, up by 1% in the last 24 hours.
