The Injective team announced via X on Friday that it has released the CW404 standard in collaboration with Dojo Swap. CW404 brings the massively popular ERC-404 standard to the Injective blockchain.

ERC-404 is an experimental token standard and an innovative approach that combines the features of ERC-20 tokens (fungible, divisible like money) and ERC-721 tokens (non-fungible, unique like NFTs). ERC-404 introduces the concept of “semi-fungible” tokens, allowing individuals to own fractions of an NFT, unlocking liquidity and novel DeFi possibilities.

Injective explained that the CW404 standard is a sophisticated port of the original ERC404, conforming more similarly to the signatures of the existing CW20 and CW721 standards.

Injective is an open, interoperable layer-one blockchain for building powerful DeFi applications. Injective uniquely provides plug-and-play financial infrastructure primitives, such as a high-performance on-chain decentralized exchange infrastructure, decentralized bridges, oracles, and a composable smart contract layer with CosmWasm. INJ is trading at $35.15 up by 3% in the last 24 hours.
