The Immutable team announced via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday that Arkbound has now launched on its blockchain. Arkbound is a F2P game offering a distinctive gaming experience with no barriers to entry.

The Arkbound team has several years of experience in shipping AAA titles and expertise in traditional console gaming and Unreal Engine. By granting players true autonomy and ownership over their digital assets, they have a unique opportunity to monetize their in-game assets on external platforms versus traditional RPGs where digital assets are tightly bound to the game environment, the Immutable team added.

Immutable X is an L2 scaling solution for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Ethereum, with instant trading, massive scalability, and zero gas fees for minting and trading with shared security with the Ethereum mainnet. IMX is down by 3% today and is trading at $1.1727 at press time.
